Emerging Photographer

In 2009, PDN and Sony jointly launched Emerging Photographer, a custom publication produced by PDN Custom Media & Events. I was brought on as editor of the magazine, a comprehensive role that begins with establishing the edotiral lineup for each issue and commissioning the stories all the way through to editing all of the copy and writing headlines and captions.

Emerging Photographer, which has a press run of 50,000 copies, is distributed directly to high schools and colleges, as well as at various PDN's 30 live events. We've featured many talented photographers—both emerging and well-known—including Wayne Lawrence, Angela Boatwright, Cristina Mittermeier, David McClain, Robert Leslie, and Rus Anson.
