Although I work primarily with creative professionals, my experience spans disparate industries.

Beyond the years I worked as a writer, editor, and managing editor for magazines like Entertainment Weekly, Modern Painters, Revolver (a hard-rock publication), and Photo District News, I was a copywriter for a NYC-based Internet startup in 1999, I did a stint as a senior proposal writer for Sotheby’s, and I was creative director for Stockland Martel, a well-respected photo agency with a 30-year history.

I bring quite a lot of perspective to my consulting projects, portfolio reviews, and coaching work, the latter of which tends to feel like therapy but with a concrete plan of action (so I’m told).
